I just got my PS3 hooked up today and decided to check out the web browser. Anytime I went to a site with flash (1.5mb flash file) it would play just fine until I clicked on one of the buttons in the flash movie and then I kept getting an error saying "out of memory" and it just showed a blank web page.

Are they limiting the size of the web cache? If so, it isn't very high. Maybe there is a setting I'm missing?

you are correct. i get this message too on certain sites.
they gotta fix this because it is unbelievable that the ps3 which is supposed to be a "computer" cannot do this...

The web browsing on your TV deal is just not really worthwhile. I sit just a few feet away from a 46" screen and can barely read the text on most webpages. The whole interface is clunky and I don't have a keyboard/mouse plugged in so using the controller to type is just not a good idea. The whole web browsing thing is just a needless gimick. At least for me. When I get my dedicated screen for the PS3/360/PC and sit close to the screen then I might mess around with web browsing on the PS3, but then I will also have my PC right next to it so there'd be no point.

LOL, try using the browser on the PSP, yuck.. Now there's a gimick..
