I just got confirmation from Ubisoft customer service that Blazing Angels for PS3 does NOT support DD 5.1 - just 2-chan stereo. You gotta be kidding!! The PC and XBox 360 versions have DD 5.1 but they have the gall to charge me $59.95 + tax for their latest rendition and it's missing DD 5.1? They were promoting the PS3 version on IGN back in August as if it was going to be God's new gift to gaming. It's an utterly boring and uninspiring piece of trash. Clearly Ubisoft made a conscious decision to get this onto shelves for the holidays even though it was unfinished. Is there a law against this sort of theft? Ubisoft will never get another thin dime from me. :mad:

I thought the 360 version would be enough to show people that Ubisoft is trying to spit or shlt out as many games as they could to make a few more bucks.. Quantity is more important than Quality these days..

Wow, that does sound crappy. Explosions, flying by ships and as airplanes pass you by, surround would have been sweet.

despite it's shortcomings with the lack of 5.1, the game has held my attention enough...
Now, I am not a hard-core gamer by any means but I have been an enthusiast since Intelevision / Atari 2600 days.
Granted, the graphics aren't the best and the game play can be so-so at times, I wouldn't classify it as a terrible game. Given the current stable, this is a mid-range game.

I also purchased COD3 but have yet to remove it from the packaging...fear that I will like it so much, I will toss Blazing Angels to the side before I have the chance to really get much further into it.
