I am replacing in my theater chairs recessed cup holders but I don't know where to buy the cup holders that can drop down into a hole in the arm rest. It's basically the same thing as what you see in most of the HT chairs like Berklines. Does anyone know of a source where I can purchase just the cup holders? Thanks!
Check for marine products. I had been looking for some awhile ago and found some at various marine /boating supply retailers.

Thanks Pete - I've looked extensively on the web and marine boating seems to be the one that comes up exclusively. My only gripe is that they ALL seem to have 2 or 4 holes in the bottom (to let the water run through). I envision my kids with popcorn oil or pop running through these holes. Great for boating, but I do hope I can find something different. In a pinch, I may have to go with this type though! Thanks again for your input Pete!

You should give a call to the chair vendors who hang out around here (roman?)
Also as for the holes, on my berkline chairs there is a round self adhesive padded vinyl piece at the bottom of each cup. I've read that it hides screws that hold the holder in place but I haven't wanted to pry one out. You could come up with something like that to hide the holes.
I see that Berkline is marketing replacement cups that are lighted

Thanks BIG for the post - my current cup holders do not have any bottom lining nor are the attached to the chair, except by the flange. Maybe that is why the bottoms are cracking at times - lack of support on the bottom. I have heard of the lining on the bottom on the Berklines, but never thought to add lining to cover up the "marine" holes. Good idea! I'd still prefer just a straight replacement, but this idea is a very workable Plan B. Thanks for the post and the help.

I found metal replacement cupholders for the Berklines (and probably other brand chairs) from Roman Shenkerman at Ultimate Home Entertainment.
Here is what he sent me when I inquired about them:
Gary,
The cup holder inserts come in black or silver and can be purchased for $20 a piece. You do not need to replace your cup holder. All you do is drop the cup holder inserts into exciting plastic cup holder, and you are all set.
Let me know if I can help you with that.
