As stated in the title I have a Toshiba 50H81 and the picture was messed up when I got home from work yesterday. The colors were off so I went into the service menu to adjust convergence and I found that the green and blue colors were fine but the red is bowed. I am unable to move the horizontal lines up and down as normal except in a few places. The vertical lines move sideways with no problems. Any thoughts?

After doing some research the problem is the convergence ICs. Anyone have experience in changing these out? I took a look at the insides of the TV tonight and I am feeling nervous about attempting to change these myself.

This is how the blue channel looks on our Toshiba 50H81 after our 4 year old son deciding kicking the power button would be a good way to turn off the set. Anyone know if this is possible to rectify with a DIY repair?
