Im looking to get a new sound system for my home theater room. I was looking to get a Denon AVR-4306 receiver, but Im not all that good at knowing the difference between speakers and knowing what is good and isn't good. I was wondering if anyone knew good set of speaker to go along with this receiver? I'm looking to spend at most in the range of $1000-$2000 for speakers.

Hi Justin,
I've been in the audio/home theater hobby for about 25 years or so, so I may be able to help a bit. You may want to take a look at Paradigm speakers. For the money, they're solidly built and perform well. Take a look at the Studio 20's for your mains (you'll need 20"-24" stands), one of Paradigm's center channels, a small subwoofer and Mini-monitors or the dipoles for your surrounds. I would go to a dealer if you can because they can help you place the speakers correctly for your room. If you're a careful shopper you can get all the speakers you need from them for under $2000.
