Thread title pretty much says it all. My 2 year old took a lego brick to my television and put a nice crack in the middle of the screen. I went to samsungparts and found they actually sell that outer screen (BP67-00227D) for $85 plus s&h.

However, when I spoke the parts guy he said it can break very easily if you have never replaced one before and, of course, they do include installation instructions for the screen.

Anyone ever done this before or have instructions on how to do this or a link?

Again this, specifically, is a Samsung HC-R4755W rear projection CRT.

I might a have a schematic somewhere, but that is about it. I say just go for it.
The money saved vs a technician is worth the risk in my opinion.
