From what I understand, this was a very popular player years ago, but I am having a harder time finding information now.

I have used this dvd player for years and love it, but I am wondering if it will work with some UK dvds I want to purchase. They are region 2 and PAL. The manual for this dvd player specifies region 1 and NTSC. I can change the region code in the dvd menu, but when I tried it with a dvd I made it did not work. I copied a dvd I already had, but had it burn it region 2. Could it have not worked because its a burned dvd? Or will it even matter because it wont play PAL?
