Ok, I was doing research all over and finally found this site absolutely fantastic! however, some of the threads are so long my head is swimming after reading here for about 45 mins.
First, I was almost 100% positive I was going to go pick up the Hitachi 57f59 then I read some of the comments on one of the threads and a big problem some people have is the silk screen door (sp ?) problem. The price is right around 1,000 or a little over for this unit (if anyone knows of better deals somewhere please feel free to email me) but I just dont' want to invest a ton of money in something that might be flawed.
I currently own a 32" Samsung console HDTV which I LOVE (can't remember the model)! It has a complete flat screen but the back is kinda large.
Anyways, does anyone have some concrete reasons why I should or should not pick up this 57f59 or is their another model/brand within 10 or so inches that is close in price that would be a better suggestion?
Thanks to anyone that takes the time to help. I'm very new to this and I have NEVER spent over $1,000 on a TV and just don't want to make a mistake.
