I am installing my home theater in the basement of my home and have the fortune of installing the A/V Rack from the home theater room wall into the large unfinished storage room. I am looking for a nice A/V rack system that will work for all of my components, but do not need a rack that slides out since I have access to the back of the components through the storage room. Any ideas of a rack system that will work in this application without paying the extra $$$ for a rotating rack that I don't need. Thanks!

runrockford,

I'm going to do something similar. In my HT room I'm building a "closet" for my equipment. On the front side will be an opening and I'll use Middle Atlantic rack rails and rack shelves, etc for my equipment. On the back side (my furnace/storage room) will be a door (perhaps safe-n-sound for noise, if I can get a small size - I haven't investigated that yet.) The door will provide access to the back of the equipment, wiring and power.

I've gotten a little side tracked in my project as I'm framing the bedroom and bathroom right now so I can get my plumber in to install drain pipes for me, but I'll get back and frame the back of my HT including the rack closet soon. Feel free to watch my thread for pics and details. The link is in my signature. (And that ends my blatant thread advertisement. :))
