Hello, this is a topic that I have looked up several times..And really have not found anything that will state too much about it.. if this is possible, it seems like microsoft has done a terrible job stating this as a working option for it's dvd's.. I use my pc for all my upscaling but would be nice to have the 360 to help take the load a little.. My tv is a panasonic ptl-500u with vga, dvi, component hook ups and the standards as well..Viewing is on a 11X7' screen.

360 upscales DVD in VGA, to whichever VGA resolution you choose.

The Xbox 360 will scale DVDs to 1920x1080p via the VGA cable. Although my Oppo does a better job of it.

Yes the 360 upscales using VGA. Depending on what tv you have though your results may very.

I can tell you on a Samsung HLS dlp they look almost as good as HD dvd.
