I'm a totally newbie and was wondering if I could connect coax cable direct from wall to receiver/amplifier and use component cables output from amplifier to TV? I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with the amp in question but as previously stated: unless it has a built in tuner to demodulate the signals this won't work!

Perhaps that's a 75 Ohm input for an FM antenna.
