We're moving into a new house and are in the market for a new TV. I really like the Samsung HLR-7178WX, but don't want to get caught in the trap I did last time, where I bought my set and, literally, a month later Samsung revved the line with a better set for the same amount of money. (It was almost a $1,000 less three months later at Best Buy. A huge DOH! moment for us.)

Does anyone more tuned into me have any advice on whether this is, or is not, a good time to buy? I know CES (going on now) is where a lot of companies introduce their new line. Should I wait?

I was in the same boat ... have decided to go ahead and order the 7178, since I didn't see anything in the larger size range that looked interesting (after ruling out the 106" Sharp LCD...and the 70" Sony XBR2 as being a bit over my budget).
