I have a Denon AVR2805S Receiver I am using as a Component switcher for my cable tv, dvd and Xbox 360. I hooked up the Xbox 360 and the picture comes through perfectly and looks great. I am using the supplied Xbox Component Cable and a digital optical cable.

The issue I have is when playing games, on cut scenes, or loads the Receiver starts switching furiously, the TV says No Signal, and then shortly after the picture returns and the game continues.

Any thoughts?

Does it have an auto-sync mode that notices when the signal changes from like 1080i to 720p?

I'm not saying this IS the problem, but my RCA has sync issues when I change what comes in via component (use Xbox then change back to Xbox 360; wait for HDTV to re-sync to 1080i) and maybe you can convince your receiver to patiently wait for a watchable signal instead of adjusting to what's coming in...

Have you tried hooking the 360 directly to the TV. Also try hooking direclty to the amplifer. See what happens that way you can detirmine if it the switch, amplifer or the TV

Its normal, i have a Sony 5.1 system and when it recieves the audio signal from the 360 it displays what it is (ie, 5.1, 2.0 etc) .

Your reciever is just telling you when the 360 is sending the audio signal.

Try putting in a regular dvd and it should do the same when you go from the menu to the movie.

Hope that helps.
