Want DVD player to view 5000 jpeg still images on DC-R.
This spec is not listed on web sites, maufacturer's tech support or engineer can answer. Electronic stores and home theater showrooms were unaware of this.
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Did post on videohelp, no reply's. Took my CD to electronic stores and home theater showrooms, no one knew about this limitation, but learned when the DVD player's would not open all jpeg images. When I called but only two manufacturer's tech support were aware of this limitation, 6 other's said only the engineers would know and they are in Vegas this week. Do you know of a forum for the engineers?

Many players will play SD jpegs, but not HD images. Others (like mine) will play either, but need to be toggled in the setup menu - the reason one would ever turn the HD facility off is that SD jpegs load much faster with it off than with it on. Mine is so slow on high def jpegs that even a dozen would seriously strain my patience. - DR
SD=standard definition, HD=high definition. Pretty much anything more than 576 horizontal lines of resolution is HD for these purposes. - DR
