I'm looking for some cheap component cables and stumble upon these but I don't know the difference the between them... Does it worth to spend extra cash over the other? Thanks in advance.
3Ft 3-RCA Component Video Cable (RG-59/u) (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10235&cs_id=1023502&p_id=2186&style=&seq=1&format=1#largeimage)
PREMIUM 1.5FT 3-RCA Component Video Coaxial RG-6 18AWG 75Ohm Cable (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10235&cs_id=1023502&p_id=2854&seq=1&format=2&style=)
Edit: BTW, I'm using this for my DVD Player and VCR. Thanks

The cheaper ones are made of RG-59 and what appears to be cheap connectors. The "Premium" ones are made of RG-6(heavier gauge) coax and what appear to be more positive holding connectors. The cost differential between the two kinds of coax, for such a short run is effectively $0. The difference in cost of the 6 connectors, bought in bulk is probably around $2. The cheaper cables, because they're made of smaller gauge coax, would be more pliable.

So you're saying it's not worth it? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks

How did you infer this? You asked for the differences, I obliged.

Yes and thank you but I also asked if it worth to spend $7 to get the other component cables. Please let me know. thanks

What's the difference between these two?Profit.
I bet no one could even measure the difference between the two, let along see it. As far as one being RG59 and the other RG6, I would doubt that unless one would cut the cable and look at the cross section. With every cable I have cit open (for one reason or another) 90%+ is insulation and very little conductor (copper etc.). Cheap audio cables are notorious for this. A thick jacket and nothing inside. Makes you wonder that they work at all.

For a 3 ft run I would save the $7 and go with the less expensive cables. The more expensive 18AWG cables are going to be stiff and, at least with my setup, would be a pain to run from one shelf to the other in my cable raceway. If I were running more than 6 ft of cable, I would choose the more expensive cable.

Just working from the listed specs. ;)
We've taken to making our own component cables. If it wasn't for having 10s of thousands of feet of RG-6 on hand, I'd go with RG-59 for these cables because of the stiffness of the RG-6.
