HDMI (and maybe all video connection questions) could use it's own thread as the discussion is often discussion between two different components and threads. As an example all these questions about 1080P over HDMI keep coming up again and again in different forums because it's not forum specific. Also HDMI is both Video and Audio and does not fit in just one place so it difficult to know whether you should put a interconnect question in the receiver area (Which is under AUDIO, or by one specific type of display device).

(You could also put in a separate threads for other types of video connection i.e. component/composite, and alternative connections like optical and Cat 5) thread in that area. (Maybe it could be a HDMI and Digital/Analog Video interface area)

You will be happy to know I am talking with the HDMI powers about just this type of forum area. It may be a dedicated HDMI chat area.

Outstanding idea. I would have never thought about such an area, but I'm really looking forward to this.

This is why AVS is still the best!
