Hello,

I plan to buy a projector very soon…The room is ready (basement), the screen is installed (DIY laminate DW-108” diagonal). I was thinking to buy a SANYO PLV-Z5.
But I will also need a new DVD player to use HDMI capability of the projector
But I have few questions:
1- I’m French and have a lot of zone 2/PAL DVD. Need something free zone, or easy to modify (with a code?)
2- I’m not looking for something Hi-tech or too expensive. Just good quality!
3- I’m not sure to well understand all the different standards (480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, etc…deinterlacing, Faroudja, …) and the relation with the projector.

So what would be the best DVD player to fit my requests with this projector? Every body is talking about OPPO…Why not… Is there any other good choice?
