I am about to put together a theater room and noticed my Dish811 receiver has DVI out. Anyone using this? Am I going to notice any difference from the current component hookups?

I am about to put together a theater room and noticed my Dish811 receiver has DVI out. Anyone using this? Am I going to notice any difference from the current component hookups?


I suppose it would depend upon the display device you're trying to feed.I tried using the DVI to my Sanyo Z5 and it put a nasty looking picture in the lower right hand corner for some reason.The Component seems ok.

well i just learned that the 811 got a service update that messed up black levels. looks like i need to ditch it anyways.
