I got a Nano and the universal iPod dock for christmas. The iPod works great, but setting up the dock was not what I expected. I can't get the menus etc to display on the tv screen. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Does that function only work with a video iPod?

And what's the point of having a remote if the menu button doesn't work? Are there other dock options where you can see the Nano's screen on the tv and with a more fully functional remote?

As always, any insight is greatly appreciated...

I did a little more research. Turns out nanos aren't capable of displaying content on a tv. oh well.

but overall, the whole set-up certainly doesn't seem worth the money IMO. The dock doesn't charge the iPod, the remote only controls volume (which I do through the receiver anyway) and skips songs, and only uses the tv ability with a video iPod.
