For those that own a Stir Crazy - do you actually use the butter well to slowly drizzle topping onto the corn as it pops, or do you usually do this step afterwards? I don't have a butter dispenser, so I'm trying to decide which way would be easier...
Thanks!
No. Don't add the butter that way. The popcorn needs to dry out before you add the butter. Try getting a "Hot Topper" (found on eBay) to melt and dispense the butter. A lot of forum members have used this method. Another one is to get a baby bottle warmer (kind of an electric blanket bottle wrap that plugs in) with a ketchup/mustard squeeze bottle with the butter in it.
I just nuke the butter in a small bowl in the microwave at half power for 20-30 seconds and then pour it on the popcorn.

I put buttery topping in a condiment squeeze bottle. Just nuke it a little and shake it whenever I want to use it. Just squeeze over the popcorn :)
