Ok looking at my placement for my sub I'm going to be limited in regards to size and will need to look at a sub much smaller than most ie say 15x15" or so. I've got a big room about 4200 cubic feet. What is out there that will even begin to work for me? I think the SVS 12Plus is one and the Pinnacle supersonic is one and the Velodyne SPL 1200 is another. Any comments on any of these?? Any others that I should consider?? Budget is >or = to 1000 shipped.

Do you need to buy new? A used Velodyne HGS-12 would probably go for a bit under $1000 and would be among the better options given your size and budget constraints. However, that room might be too big for any small $1k sub to really excel in.

What about some of the tube SVS subs? Those have a relatively small footprint for the volume of the enclosure, as it makes up for it mostly in height.
