iPhone keyboard for OS X?

Does anyone know of a virtual keyboard like the iPhone for regular OS X. Assistiveware has a good solution at $299 which is too rich for me. VirtualKeyboard 3.0.1 doesn't work with some of my applications and doesn't have the predictive feature.

Exactly what is it you are trying to do? If you are trying to enter text frequently, I'm sorry, I can't help you. But, if you are trying to launch programs or something similar, I may be able to help.

Yes, just text. My keyboard sits on the arm of my chair, and I would like to move it away. Mostly I use the keyboard for passwords and a few search terms that can't be cut for pasting. 100% mouse is impossible, but the iPhone jogged my mind that I can do better than I am now.
