anyhow I was sifting through some old photos and came across an old screen shot of my sanyo z1

so thought some may get a kick out of the comparison, what an upgrade!

superbit fifth element in both pictures. I forget what dvd player was used in the first pic, the second new pic is an upconverted image from hd dvd hd-a1

this is the old pic of the sanyo z1 using an ebay screen claiming 1.3 gain

this is the new pic with the panasonic ae900u with my DIY grey screen

Wow amazing differences, top work! I moved from Z1 to AE700 and thought it a great leap forward ;)

yes, Ive only had the 900 for 6 months now, and Im already getting the upgrade bug for a 1080p projector.

however I want a panny one for smoothscreen, and from the looks of it, the first gen panny 1080p projectors still have some issues, like lumen output.

Generally with projectors, each generation marks huge improves in every area, so maybe by the third generation, they should be wildly fantastic, and second gen units should be available at discounts. at a price more affordable

but the waits going to be very long for me :(, third gen units wont come out for a long time.
