I have an odd layout for a room and was wondering where the best place to put my sub. I have an ED 300 on order and my receiver will be on the front wall with screen.
Also, do you think I will need bass traps? If so, where?

Corners give the most bass output, but that's not usually where the response will be flattest. I have my SVS sub in a corner and it's fabulous there. But I also have a large number of bass traps. The only way to know for sure which location is best is to measure with the sub in each proposed location.

Yes, put them in as many corners as you can manage.
