This is my first post so please be kind. I have a run of about 30 feet from my AVR to my subwoofer. Is it better to use a 25 ft cable and a double female connector to a 6 ft cable or to use a single 50 foot cable. There does not seem to be an intermediate length of cable.

You can join the 2 cables it will work just fine.
