What's an acceptable gauge speaker wire for runs no longer than about 35 feet?
16 Gauge? 14 Gauge? 12 Gauge? It's for the Onkyo HT-S894 5.1 system. The cable won't be in wall and will be mostly running across the top corner of the ceiling.

16 gauge will do, but go with 14 gauge. The price difference is not that much.
