hi i need an extra socket on my amp and only have a single pole switch is it safe to join all grounds direct and just switch the live?
or will this cause any feedback or unwanted problems both sources share same power strip if that makes any difference
any info or suggestions welcome for the planned mk11 model :)

Is that a digital audio cable with RCA Phono plugs on each end?

yes its RCA digital audio basically all i can do with this switch is a Y adapter with a switch on the live for cable selection similer to an RF switcher . so theres no break on the ground of two outputs to input
is it safe to join all grounds direct and just switch the live?
Yes, ground is common.

Thanks Targus i now have a switch box fully working cost £0. The RG59 i had lying around seems to give better sound clarity than when using my origional Monster digital coax :)

It's digital audio either it works or it doesn't!
A bad cable will give you break-up or pops or interference type noises.
