Hello.

I have an ELAN 880 which has Video input 1-8 and video output 1-8.

Its suppose to be that:

Video input 1 corresponds to video output 1.

Video input 2 corresponds to video output 2

Video input 3 corresponds to video output 3

etc.......


However for some reason, Video output 1-8 are all showing from video input 1.

every single video output is from video input 1 even though I have cameras connected to other video inputs.

Does anyone know if maybe there is a setting I need to change or why something like this is going on?

The Z880 is a matrix video switcher that is controlled via IR. If you have the remote control for it, you should be able to switch any output to any input. The default configuration is probably as you describe.

default is 1-1
you will need to issue output command then input command to switch

To reiterate what the others have said, that is not how it works. It is a video matrix, so Input 1 could be routed to Output 1, and/or Output 2, and/or Output 3, etc. Likewise, Input 2 can be routed to Output 1, and/or Output 2, and/or Output 3, etc. though two inputs cannot share the same output at the same time.

You can change inputs and outputs with the Elan IR remote. If you have a Pronto, I think they also have the codes listed at remotecentral.com.
