what exactly does the digital response time (ms) do or what is it used for,,,

I think this is listed with a 8ms refresh rate,,,, is that good enough

and i have seen the Sony xbr's claiming a 2.5ms response time,,,,,


does this have anything to do with seeing macro-blocking or pixellization on fast moving HD viewing such as live sports, or is it for something else

You would be beter off and get more response in the Sony E2000 dedicated thread. Oh and try using a question mark here or there or there or there.
