The aspect ratio is actually 1.85:1

I am really disappointed that the audio is still only 2.0 though.

Me too. I'll still buy it though.

As long as his car still has 6 hubcaps and 16 forward gears, I'll buy it.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but I know what you mean :D like Paul Walkers Eclipse having 7 gears in the beginning of F&F.

I humbly disagree. Keeping the audio at original source sounds better to me than trying to make surrounds out of sounds that just aren't there - way too artificial.

It looks like the only difference between the HD version and the BD version is that the HD version has DD+. Is this all, or is there more? Thanks.

The HD DVD version probably has zoom and bookmarking features as well.

I agree... but I would imagine that the original source was a 1.0 mono track.

Whatever the PQ, I'll pick up this one. It was filmed in my home town and I knew every single street the chase scenes were on.

I'd like to have the original mono source track as well.

There are OAR fanatics, myself included. Why aren't there as many outspoken Original Audio Source fans? I've read so many people griping about the OAR, but will then complain about a lack of a 5.1 soundtrack. What gives?
