Marty Scorsese's The Departed will fit nicely in the HD Top 10 list alongside his mobster movies Goodfellas and Casino. If I were Universal I'd dig every Scorsese movie in my vaults (i.e. the 1991 remake of Cape Fear) and release it on HD-DVD ASAP! :)

It's amazing how many of the early releases (Serenity, Last Samurai, Goodfellas) are always in the top 10. Just goes to show how many players are being sold.

It's called Firefly :D Seriously though I think your right on the prequel. As much as I loved Serenity I'd rather see prequels then sequels especially since not all characters are kicking still. As someone mentioned they need to release the series in HD. I have caught a couple episodes on Universal HD which look pretty good.

I love Sci FI. But I just never "GOT" firefly or serenity for some reason. I bought the movie but it was ho hum for me.

You might want to give the series a try. Personally, I needed a bit of getting used to, but after episode 4 or 5 or something I couldn't stop watching. And afterwards the movie is quite a bit better than before. But I liked the movie on its own, too, I also watched it before having seen the series.

Not to burst anyone's bubble (because I'm a big Firefly/Serenity fan myself), but I'm pretty sure Joss Whedon has been confirmed as saying there will definitely be no more content from that franchise. Sucks.

I'm not sure how you can have a prequel. Simon, River and the Shepard don't meet Mal and the crew until the first episode. Without them, it wouldn't be the same.

Prequel to Serenity but after Firefly.

Well, I don't care if it's a prequel or sequel, I just want more of it. The problem with a sequel is that Alan Tudyk could no longer be part of it, which is a shame cause I found he brought a lot of humor to the series.

Wow, you may be the first person I've ever heard from that's watched Firefly and Serenity and not loved it. To each his own I guess.

I guess I should have been more specific. Although I like the franchise, I doubt I'd get into reading comics about it, etc. I was more implying that it's HIGHLY unlikely we'll ever see TV or movie sequels/prequels/anything.

Cool! I own the top three titles. I cannot wait to get my 360 back so I can check out Batman Begins on HD DVD and see how it compares to the cable HD version.
