Ok I narrowed my choices to

Samsung - 50" 1080p DLP HDTV HL-S5087
or
Sony KDS-R50XBR2

What you guys think? Or is there still another TV out there with better picture Quality???

I'd go with the Samsung - but only because the KDS-R50XBR2 doesn't exist. The XBR2 is available only in 60" and 70" sizes. For a 50", you'd need the KDS50A2000.

The best way to choose - take them both home and return the one you don't like.

I meant the sony KDS-50A2000.

I am thinking about returning my Mitsubishi WD-Y57 and getting the Sony 50A2000. I also considered the Samsung but I have not made up my mind. I could use some help as well!!

By the way it will be used a lot for video games, I have the PS3 and the 360..

Keep in mind all the current Samsungs will be replaced in 6-8 weeks with the new 2007 models.

Do you see rainbows or not? If you don't see rainbows, I would opt for the Samsung. If you do see rainbows, go for the Sony or a JVC. If you are sitting more than 8 feet from the screen, step up to the 60" model.
