I've noticed my screen is flickering a lot lately (almost like when a pc monitor is set to a really low refresh rate) - not all the time - but it is getting to be much more frequent - is it safe for me assume that my DLP bulb is on it's way out?

I have a spare but hate to just replace it if the flickering is a symptom of something bigger like a color wheel or something.
