Hey guys,

I just bought a new 57" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV two days ago and whenever I use it for a while, I notice a faint burning plastic smell coming out from the side of it. It this normal for DLP TVs? Will it go away soon? Should I take the TV back? The smell really bothers me.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

That appears to be a normal break-in smell for the lamp. The smell on my new 57732 was quite noticable for the first week and then decreased quickly after that.
