Will they be broadcating this upcoming speech in HD?

If so, it's a great opportunity to compare PQ of your local providers. Since the source is the same using pool cameras, you can easily do a/b comparisons of the end result.
I did this a year or 2 ago and was able to tell subtle yet distinct differences in the picture quality of my local affiliates.

It was last year so it would seem logical they would repeat this year.

Last year NBC ABC and CBS were in HD, Fox was in "Fox Widescreen".

So when the 2008 elections roll around, be sure to vote for the candidate that will look the best in HD. :-)

Some political comments deleted.

TVOD's was funny enough I almost left it in - but I know it will only cause trouble. ;)

As this is going to be a HD pool feed, I think 1080i would be the best format. It's better for situations where not much is changing.

ABC does not have a HD icon next to the State of the Union on the schedule on the bottom of the home page...

To get back to HD, which network is providing the feed this year?
