I am building a house and in the pre-wire stage. I don't get HD now, but eventually I know I will. I am a Directv subscriber.

I will also have a whole house A/V system (Russound CAV 6.6). This will distribute my Directv to the six zones. My question is,

Should I run an HDMI Cable from the home base to my 42" Plasma room? The run will be abount 30 feet.

Is it really needed? Will I ever use it?

Please help, I really don't want to spend $200 on a cable. But I also don't want to regret it.

I always say its better to run too many cables than too few and its always easier to wire at this stage in a house build than when it's finished out.
