Long time viewer, first time poster, but yes with all the talk about the new 51GB HD-DVD does that mean that they can use the extra 2GB per layer and use them on new releases?

However, move one generation forward and note that DVD has always been 4.7GB/8.5GB. As the pits get smaller and tracks get narrower it's got to be hard to tweak the format without breaking existing hardware. |
