I was wondering if you have to worry about magnetic shielding of the subwoofers and speakers in close proximity to a DLP rear projection television? I know that it is a different mechanism of display than the old CRT but I wasn't certain if magnetism is an issue with these sets.

No worries. CRT's are the only technology affected by magnetic fields.
