xradman 01-21-07, 10:30 PM It's getting harder and harder to separate speculation from opinions based on experience. If you are a regular posters to the forum, please tell us what you own so that we may understand what to base your comments on. Please no flaming on this thread.

xradman 01-22-07, 08:24 PM I still don't see responses from some of our most vocal proponent/critics of each format (you know who you are ;) ). Please respond so that we may be able to take your personal experience with each format into consideration when we read your posts.

Stacks of HD movies with the red ones outnumbering the blue ones, but I'm not sure by how much. I'm sure I have over 50 total between them, but use Netflix and blockbuster.com also.
I also have D-Theater decks and tapes, but don't use those much anymore.
My main display currently is a 1080p DLP projector with a 10' wide screen in a mostly black velvet room.

xradman 01-23-07, 03:14 AM Thanks to all who have responded thus far. I think this can be a real helpful thread to help us gauge posts based on speculation vs. experience.
Amir, your contribution is always welcome. By the way, when are you coming to the DC area.
nyg, didn't you at one point own an HD DVD player? Listing your past experience would also help readers.
Robert George, you are my hero :)
I would love to see post from other vocal supporters/critics like Grubert, Talkstr8t, b2bonez, rdjam, beatboy, Mr. Hanky, Amiable-Akuma, Fettastic, ricwhite, bland, TomsHT, TwinTurboZX, scaesare, 2Channel, d3code, What'sHD, Richard Paul, Rob Zuber and others. You are some of the most prolific posters in these forums and knowing your personal experience with either format would be helpful in evaluating your posts (sorry if I left out some names or mis-spell them, it wasn't intentional).
