I was just setting up my display setting on my ps3 but I noticed that the 480p option is checked but greyed out. I can't uncheck it. On the other hand, 720p, 1080i, 1080p options are checked and can be unchecked.

Can anyone verify that 480p options is supposed to greyed out?

480p is the default video setting. If for some reason you want to bring your PS3 all over the place using all sorts of HDTV or TVs, at the very least you can see something on the screen with 480p. From there, you can troubleshoot, if need be.
