I have a small budget - but wanted to see what others thought I should get for the following:

Center Speaker - $200 max
Surround Sound Speakers - $60 each max (in wall preferable)
Front Speakers - $70 each max (in wall preferable)

I know - it is not a lot to work with.....can I get anything worth listening to for that?

I am matching it with a recently purchased home theater system (Panasonic) which has really ugly speakers (wife hates them) - so I will reuse the receiver and sub.

This is mainly for TV - 50" Pioneer Plasma 5070 wall mount (hence the "in wall" requirement for the front and surround, for a nice look :) )

Thanks in advance!

The Velodynes CHT's are often recommended on this forum avalable from the Velodyne website, a bit below your bugdget. Also the Athena Point 5 system is often available on fleabay, and is a great budget set.

You can't go wrong with Athena's, and if you take a look at Audioadvisor, you could piece some speakers together within your budget.

Good luck!

If you're looking for good sounding and looking on-wall speakers, look at Celestion AVP305 http://www.celestion.com/products/soundstyle/avp305.html
They're not in-wall, but if you like them they might be for you. Available with or without sub for around $300 (msrp ~$1000).

I haven't heard these, but they are serious speakers and you can find other opinions if you look hard enough (try UK as these are British speakers).

thanks Musik - I actually went with in wall speakers from Polk - paid a little more than I wanted, but hear that they make nice sounding stuff.....
