I am wondeirng what is the recommended connection between Xbox 360 and a front projector -- VGA or component? I'm connecting to an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 400.

Given the choice, VGA since that will allow the xbox to upscale SD-DVDs, and the scaler in the xbox may be better than the one in your projector.

Other than that they should be equivalent.

I would try them both out. My buddy brings his 720p projector over my house to play Gears and with the VGA its to dark so he just uses component.

I have the powerlite 200+ and use component, mostly because my reciever doesn't have vga in and out, and I'm too lazy to remember to change the input on the projector all the time.

i'm looking at this combo also (the projector and the 360). How does it look?

I have a Sony HD projector and a Da-Lite reflective screen. I've tried both and the components actually look better to me. The colors appear to be more vivid and yes... I have tried adjusting all the settings with both.

Nothing is ever straightforward here, is it? :rolleyes:
