I have a D50 and some 12xx pjs (currently using the D50 for now) and I've suddenly found myself with several input sources -- component video from my HD-A1, RGB from the MP-1 Radeon in my HTPC, and RGB from the MyHD card I just got. What's the best way to manage all of this? I'm not using the pass-through cable with the MyHD card because my MP-1 Radeon outputs are BNC and it seems silly to take it back to a VGA connector.
Should I get one of those Sony PC-1271 switchers or are there better switchers out there? I guess better in my opinion is a balance between good performance and affordability. The price sure seems right on the Sony switchers on eBay. I see that some of those switchers come with a component input card. So such a card serves as a transcoder then? If that's the case then is that the way to go or would it be best to get a seperate, external, and newer component to RGB transcoder and take the component to RGB, then feed it to the switcher? I'm guessing that's better, though obviously more costly.
