Now that both C.C. and B.B. are adverstising as though they now have the LG Super Multi Blue HD Player (BH100) in stock on their website. I was wondering if anyone has bought the player already or planned to?

Mine arrived yesterday.

Any impressions? How well does it play both HD formats and standard DVD?

just got the machine the other day and hooked it up.. picture came in at 1080I.

I was not able to set it to 1080p... Mission Impossible III looked great but still

only 1080 I..

can anyone help???? I have a 42" 1080p lcd... hooked up with monster hdmi...

on the back of the machine... is a december 2006 manufacturing date...

i went out and bought a few blu ray flicks... still coming in at 1080i,,, no P!!

It is showing 1080i because the player ONLY displays at 1080p/24 and not 1080p/60. Your LCD does not support 1080p/24 I bet.

I have a feeling that they don't believe the lack of 1080p/60 support is an issue becuase they offer 1080p/24.

As I mentioned in one of the other threads, this is one of the three reasons why I will return this player. The three reasons are:

1. No SD-DVD upconverstion to 1080p only 1080i.
2. No support for 1080p/60
3. They charge $1200 and are too cheap to include an HDMI cable (only component).

Most people also don't like (but I could care less)

4. No HDi support.
5. No HDMI 1.3 support.

I don't have any of the other players (HD-DVD or Blu-Ray) so I will only comment on my viewing experience.

I am pleased with the picture and sound quality of all the SD and HD/Blu-Ray titles. I did notice that there were some "hiccups" plaiyng MI3. However, since I rented the movie from Blockbuster, it might be due to the disk's quality.

I plan on watching a dozen or so different titles in the next week or so. I'll let you know more once I experience more.

I'm interested in one of these players and was wondering if the unit will pass audio over the HDMI cable. I thought I read somewhere that it didn't. Please let me know as I'm interested in hooking this up to my HDMI receiver with just an HDMI cable.

I'm in the same boat with my Samsung HL-S6187W.

Has anyone contacted LG about this? If this isn't addressed soon with a firmware fix, this player is going back.

Correct, it only supports 1080i for SD-DVD.
