Hi there
I am an lucky owner of a barco 708 data.
Have it abaut a year now. And my tubes are wearing out.
So I can buy a 701 with T180DGB22 tubes for a few €
With 9 9 9 tubes.
A forum member on htforum told me that i can replace these tubes for my p16 tubes.
and @ curt i read:
The early 708'd used T180 Toshiba tubes that are $295 each from VDC. your P16's are later tubes that are sharper (still ES focusing) but more expensive at $495 or so. according to Charlie at VDC, you can put P16's into an older set, but you cannot put the older tubes into a newer set. Something about the tubes running hotter and they'll die in a short period of time.
So i dont know it annymore
Someone a awnser to this ?
i have the unit home already. And the tubes are realy 999 it has only 400 h on its chasis :)
