I'm on the Nevada Dam level in R6:V and have been stuck at what I believe is the end or close to it. My objective is to track down Irena and kill her. When I get to the objective marker there is a computer that I can hack. I've tried three different ways to get through this section with no luck:

1) Hack the computer and try to kill the boat load of terrorists that then pops up. When I start to do well with this the game ends and says I've failed to kill Irena.

2) Don't hack the computer, take my team up the stairs where Irena immediately runs out the door and I can't shoot her because she's behind bulletproof glass, and then I fail.

3) Hack the computer, take out anybody in my way as I run upstairs (leaving my team to hack and take out the terrorists downstairs). I get the "failure to kill Irena" notice before I even get to the top of the stairs.

I'm not even sure what hacking the computer is doing for me. Is it supposed to open a door allowing me to get to Irena or something? I'm totally stuck at this point and can't come up with any other strategies to try. Help! Thanks.

Yes, hacking the computer opens a door on the left hand side I believe. It's probably telling you failure because A) Jung gets killed or B) The computer gets shot up too much. I was stuck here for a while too. Try to stay far enough away to draw fire away from what Jung is doing, but still in line of sight to cover him. It's a tough part, but yes, you are close to the end. Good luck.

Oh, one more thing. When you enter the room at first and kill the initial terrorists in there, one of them will have a light machine gun (can't remember the name, but it's got a bit box/drum magazine). Swap weapons with him, not having to reload every 5 seconds is a huge plus when the enemy start rushing you in waves.

Thanks, when I saw the "failed to kill Irena" I just assumed it was because she got away and not because Jung got shot or something. I'll try to move away from Jung.

If your stuck in Vegas and need advice as the thread indicates. Drop everything your doing and put a hundy on black! :p

If you are at the part I am thinking you are on, stand with your back to the wall facing the computer. Your partner will be hacking and the other guy standing to the front right of the computer. Slowly creep right to kill the terrorists that keep popping up from the middle. If things get too crazy through smoke grenades right next to the computer. This way you can run out real quick with your heat vision on and knock off some of the terrorists that aren't in your view. Also if jung goes down you can heal him. Use your frags too.

At some point the guy hacking the computer will tell you to go upstairs or something. You will then order him and jung to stay behind. Then go up and try to get Irena. watch out when going up the stairs though.

I just finished the game, thanks guys. Didn't have any smoke grenades, but that sounds like a good strategy. I ended up going out to the right slightly by the two boxes that give you cover to the front and the right side. That machine gun with the 101 round clip was really helpful. I don't think I had to reload at all during that section.

Now I see what people mean about the abrupt ending.
