Hi all, I had a couple of questions for you guys and hopefully you can help me out. I live in a college apartment and have my xbox 360 hooked up to a decent LCD monitor. The only problem is that I don't have surround sound. So instead of buying a receiver and all that I thought about going the head phone route. So here are my questions.
1) Can I use the JVC SU-DH1 adapter to decode the digital signal coming out of my xbox via a toslink cable? Really what I am asking is if the digital signal coming out of my xbox must first go to a receiver before it can go to the JVC device to decode the signal or if the JVC device will do that on its own.
2) The head phones i was thinking about getting were Audio Technica A700. I was just wondering if I used them in the above setup would they be powered enough. Do they need there own amp?
Also do you guys think this would be a decent little setup for myself?
