I have successfully been watching streamed .ts files to the X360 from my Windows MCE2005 pc for months now. Recently I updated to Windows Media Player 11, and it automatically removed Windows Media Connect as apparently it is now incorporated in WMP11. So I've tried doing the whole reconnection from scratch, and all seems to connect again properly, and then I reinstalled HDTVPump so I can watch .ts files, but I get 'Application Error'

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what you did to fix it, or perhaps if anyone has successfully setup X360 for .ts files after upgrading to WMP11 so I know it can be done.

Cheers

I think my drivers or whatever are all screwed up. It seems after installing PowerDVD 7, my .ts files won't play in WMP11 anymore. This must be related to the X360 not being able to play them.

Which on the fly transcode program were you using to get the TS files to work?
The ones for MCE don't work with XP except for the tversity one I believe.

To check if it is connecting OK just try streaming a .wmv file and see if that works OK.

I was using HDTVPump... this was working fine before on MCE2005. I havent tried the tversity one. But this just allowed the X360 Media Centre to play .ts files. I only use a transcode360 program for divx etc...

It is able to play wmv files as usual.

Anyway, since then, I've unistalled PowerDVD, and everything is working as it used to. This sux though as I was using PowerDVD for .h264 playback

I'm also having a problem with streaming the video from my HTPC.

I have the Xbox hard-wired to my HTPC. I have a folder with both WMV and MPEG files in it. When I go into the Xbox PC center, I only see the WMV files. I'm not able to see the MPEG files listed. I also have the DV pump thing installed in WM1.
