i'm working on getting a homebuilt HTPC reunning and wordered what the max res is on a panny pw8 42 plasma?

TV and DVD are now looking ok, but browsing the net is painful as the 1280 * 1024 res.....when I push it further it gets worse.......

any ideas?

can i upgrade the panny firmware?

Native res on the W8 series is 852 x 480 so computer images will be fairly poor.

No "upgrade" will ever increase your resolution, that is a function of the inherent panel structure and cannot be altered.
