My new set has two HDMI ins but only one RGB in and I have two RGB out devices Are there adapters that can run the RGB to go into DVI or HDMI?

I would expect I wouldn't get sound but one of these devices is my DVD player which I have the sound piped into the AV receiver anyway.

I have seen from what I think are adpaters to go from DVI to RGB but I'm not sure it would work in reverse.

You are probably talking about YPrPb, not RGB. YPrPb is analog and DVI/HDMI is digital and so it's not a simple conversion. BTW the DVI to RGB is for computers where DVI can be analog.
